This is Gold

I was checking facebook today and came across this piece of gold…..

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the “half empty or half full” question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: “How heavy is this glass of water?”
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”
She continued, “The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything.”
Remember to put the glass down.

Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I walk into my client I leave my SELF at the door. It is imperative that I go in with no judgement, complete trust in confidentiality and a complete understanding that this is all about them. I am humbled at the extent my clients and I are allowed to explore and grow together. I am grateful at the inspirational effort that is put forward by all. I am amazed at the multitude of shift that we are able to achieve. I am extremely excited by each and every outcome.

Because I leave myself at the door I get a great gift in that for every step forward a client takes, I am taking that same step with them. And as I step back to my SELF, I step back with the gift of lifting with every client.

For those of you that meet and talk with me outside my work, if you could call it that, and find me bouncing off the walls having fun with an insane thirst for knowledge in life. For those of you that find my inquiring mind a little confronting. Know that your happiness is the foremost in my mind and like a leach I am feeding off of it.

For one and all that fit in the categories above ………. THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!

Fly To The Moon

It’s been long winded since my last post but I can assure you it has been extremely busy.

My wife and I have been planning on purchasing a bus in March/April this year with the intent on working toward doing it up, living in it, and down the track in the near future travelling Australia at a leisure that suits both our lifestyles and our working backgrounds.

With this in mind, our intentions were far from moving to a new house that was sizable enough for four kids aged five and under. They were far from interrupting another’s life to do this very thing. However, child protection saw otherwise and we ended up in the situation of having our four grandchildren living with us on a seemingly long term basis.

Please don’t get an impression that we would have it any other way. The thought of our daughter’s gorgeous kids residing anywhere but with family is abhorrent. The abuse and unfair criticism of us stealing our daughter’s (whom we love very much) kids is also outright mean. I am at a point in my life where semi-retirement is much more appealing than parenthood, but it is the heartfelt love for our daughter and grandchildren that puts us in the situation we’re in right now.

The details behind this situation are private to our daughter and ourselves along and with DHS I am hoping to be proud of where she lifts herself both personally and for her children. We believe in her and know that she realizes we will be there for her all the way. Everybody needs to realize that sometimes being there for someone can sometimes seem hard or even harsh, but I assure you it is in search of an outcome that is and can be only good for all.

I must say that the charity and well wishes that Julie and I have received have been fer nominal and our gratitude is boundless. My heart is filled with happiness by these people and has actually given me a lift like you wouldn’t believe.

I am also highly honored by the incredible learning experience I am receiving from both my wife and these four beautiful children. My studies have taken me to a level that is now being enhanced through a reality of almost getting a second chance at parenting. I know my kids have noticed an extreme change in my parenting style and this is enhanced so wonderfully by my wife as we work together.

My new year is set to be an exciting one with my future a blank page waiting to be styled into a wondrous map. A map that will be worked on toward a wonderful future for anyone who is a part of my life. My coaching will be moving to the next level and I dare anyone to ride the roller coaster toward a wonderful future for themselves and all in their lives. It is a pay it forward type of attitude that is as exciting as flying to the moon.

Come fly to the moon with me.
